Growing up in a small town where her entire life was planned out for her, she’s desperate to break free and find herself without following the same path as her mom. With Paisley still haunting Tanner and Kellee vowing to save anyone the trouble of loving her, will the pain and fear keep them apart – or will they find a way to rewrite their song together?

“Kiss me,” I breathe.
Tanner doesn’t waste another second. His lips find mine, soft and gentle at first, but then a fire consumes us both and I’m biting his neck as he lifts me from my chair. He kisses down my collarbone and then back up to my ear, sending chills cascading down my arms and legs. I moan softly, running my fingers through his hair and tugging a little as I pull his lips back to mine. He slides his tongue between my lips and takes my mouth, deepening the kiss as his hands explore my body.
“How long until dinner?” he pants between kisses.
“Maybe twenty minutes.”
“That’ll do,” he replies, carrying me to the couch.
Tanner’s hands are hungry as he positions himself on top of me, pulling the straps of my tank top down to kiss my shoulders. He nips and sucks softly, trailing a line from my shoulders, to my neck, across my collar bone, and back again. Slowly, he kisses a little lower, sucking at the swell just above the hem of my top. I inhale sharply, my fingers gripping his hair.
“You taste so sweet,” he mumbles against my skin, lighting it on fire. He lifts my shirt and slowly kisses down my stomach, stopping just above the hem of my shorts. He blazes a trail of fire with his tongue from one hip to the other, working the buttons and zipper until he has my shorts loose enough to pull down my shaking legs and throw across the room. He smiles up at me, his sexy half grin silently killing me, and then he completely takes my breath away – because he pulls my panties off with his teeth.
With. His. Teeth.
Suddenly, my heart is beating in my throat. I’m not a virgin, but I’m definitely no where near as experienced as Tanner, no matter how cocky my façade may be. My legs are shaking uncontrollably and I feel it start to move up to my hands. Tanner stops kissing my thighs and looks up at me, concern laden on his face.
“Are you okay?” he asks, moving to position himself on top of me again. He brushes the hair from my face and pulls my shaking hand to his lips, kissing my fingers softly as he waits for me to reply.
I nod, though not confidently. “I hate admitting this to you, but I’m not that experienced.”
He smiles devilishly, his eyes lighting the fire in my stomach again. “You think I don’t know that? Why do you think I’m going so slow?”
I let out of a puff of air, “This is slow?”
His grin grows wider, “Trust me – if I had it my way, your ankles would have been on my shoulders the first night I saw you.”
Andrea's Review
*ARC received in return for an honest review
Having read Tag Chaser I was so glad that Tanner had his own story to tell as I'd felt so sorry for him in the first book and I really wanted to hear his side.
I loved Tag Chaser but I have to admit Song Chaser was even better! What I liked was the way Tanner and Kellee's relationship took a while to develop. I loved the fact that their relationship wasn't cut and dried straight after their first kiss, it was a slow burner even though there was an instant attraction between the couple. They both had major issues to overcome and come to terms with - he was still hung up over his feelings for his best friend, believing, for so long, that she was the perfect girl for his songs and she was caught up in the belief that she would leave and hurt the people she loved, the way her mother had when she left the family home when Kellee was thirteen, because everyone always told her she was just like her mother. I mean she left her family and home town to go college rather than stay at home to help her father run the family business so it must be true, right?
"Tanner, I come from a long line of fucked up. It's in my genes to hurt people, and I don't want to hurt you." ~ Kellee
Song Chaser took me on a wonderful roller coaster of emotions and there were times I shouted out and shook my head in disbelief over Tanner's frustrating behaviour toward Kellee - I wanted to punch him between the eyes at one point and shake him til he saw sense! But he did redeem himself on so many levels and by the time I got to the end of the book I was sighing and had a huge stupid grin on my face. I can't say much more without revealing spoilers from book #1 other than I loved Tanner and Kellee so much and was rooting for them to get their act together ASAP but, in a perverse way, hoping they didn't as I didn't want their story to end and the way it did end wasn't the way I'd expected it to but it was perfect.
Oh, I can't go without mentioning Kellee's grandmother - Mee Ma! I would've loved a grandma like her, she was hilarious and said things the way she saw it. She talked to Kellee more like a BFF than a grandparent. She was trying to get the hang of texting and some of the texts she sent Kellee were so funny. One of my favourite replies of Mee Ma's has to be when they were discussing Thanksgiving and Kellee's obvious attraction to Tanner.
"I can handle the gobbler, you just worry about your cock. - Mee Ma! - ;)"
These books are the first I've read from Kandi Steiner and I can tell you they definitely won't be the last. I now have a new author to stalk follow.
If you love a feel-good romance with lots of hotness (oh yes, there was definitely a LOT of heat!) some emotional upheaval to get you shouting out and gripping your kindle with tension then make Song Chaser your next read, you won't regret it. Go 1-click today.

My mom, definitely. She's actually very into reading like I am and is a great writer herself. I hope to one day convince her to write a novel, too. She inspired me when I was very young and encouraged me to pursue my love of writing, no matter what. Everything I've written from awful love poems in high school (yuck!) to decent pieces in college, she has always been there for me.
Why romance?
Great question! I have no idea. I always pictured myself writing non-fiction or nothing at all, but one of my final capstone courses in college was an advanced fiction course that really turned me on to the possibilities of creating a story. Why romance specifically? Well, we could blame it on my husband for showing me love so early in life, but it's probably more Disney's fault than anyone else's. I'm a girl, I love to love, what could be better than romance writing?
How do you write your novels?
Sporadically and without any structure at all. Sometimes I'll be driving and I'll whip out my phone and record something to write down later. Sometimes I'll write a scene and sometimes I'll just write about my character to get to know them better. Eventually, I sit down and map everything out so that I don't forget anything (blonde moments are a habit for me) and then I slowly start piecing it all together. It makes sense to me, but if I told any of my professors this they might kill me lol.
When did you know you wanted to write a novel?
Honestly, it hit me out of the blue. I got the idea for Tag Chaser when I was in the shower and I just couldn't shake it. I was dreaming about the characters, writing random scenes in my head, and just thinking about them constantly. I decided it was a sign to stop being so scared of failure and just write it. The way I see it, the worst thing that could happen is no one likes it - and in that case it will still be loved by me and that's what matters.
Why should readers pick up Tag Chaser?
Tag Chaser is a unique story that I think hasn’t been told yet. Often times we fall in love with characters who are so perfect, either individually or for each other. Tag Chaser is about exploring our imperfections and learning not to fight that chemistry that sometimes we just feel, whether it’s easy or not. I think anyone who reads Tag Chaser will laugh and love, and those are both two very beautiful things.
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
