When it comes to Michelle Leighton I cannot tell you how much I admire and adore this women, and don't get me started on her books, we would be here all day just swooning over her hot, sexy, BBF's and what a great author she is but, I am here to tell you just how much I loved Some Like It Wild!! and boy did I, so lets get started!! You may need a pair of oven gloves, as your kindle will end up hotter than the inside of your oven!! You have been warned.
Jake Theopolis is a bad boy, or this is the image that he wants everyone to think he is? He puts on this act to everyone and feels that he's not worthy of anyone's love. He's such a tortured soul when it comes to his feelings, or to feel anything for anyone else. This all stems from his past and my heart just broke for him when he finally was able to talk about it!! I mean, I was sobbing into my kindle. Jake could not be more easier to love, he's funny, cute and caring and when it comes to sex appeal, Jakes just overtook all my BBF's and now holds top spot!! When you meet Jake just be ready to be fanning yourself, while stepping outside to cool your kindle down cause this man should come with a warning (over heating will occur).

I loved oh-so sweet and good girl Laney, daughter of a preacher, whose life has been protected and very sheltered suddenly starts to question what she wants when she is betrayed by the people she thought were closest to her!! This leads Laney to thinking she needs to change her life and start living a little, and maybe adding a bit of spice and excitement too!! Laney has a pure heart, she's strong, determined and is willing to push herself to do all the things that frightens her or that may feel wrong at the time, but will end up being the right thing to do!!
I'd thought there was no danger of me getting attached to him, but as I look at his handsome face and think of the great care and consideration he's shown me today, I worry that Mr. Wrong might start to feel like Mr. Right.
When Laney meets Jake she knows from everyone else's perspective he's soooo Mr. Wrong, but her heart keeps telling her he is sooo Mr. Right!! From the first meeting sparks and sexual tension fly off the page, neither of them seem to be able to stay away from each other. There seems to be an invisible magnet that just keeps pulling them back to each other and that's when it got damn steamy and breathlessly sexy!! Jake is just to damn hot for his own good but injects enough gentlemanly behaviour to make him the perfect BBF.
She's better off thinking the worst of me. That way, she'll never get attached, Or have any expectations. Or, even worse, fall in love with me. She deserves better than that. I wouldn't wish me on my worst enemy. I'm a black hole for love. It's the way I was born.
I just kept sighing at how lovely Jake was when he just kept pushing Laney to be brave, reckless and without worrying about what her parents or the towns people would think. Jake tries so damn hard to keep an emotional space from Laney but with every encounter those emotional feelings he didn’t need or expect start creeping through the cracks of that wall he has build around himself through all those years. I loved that Laney never gave up on Jake, she just kept chipping at that wall until she could fit though and grab on to his heart!! Then to show him how much he means to her and what a loving, amazing man he really was.
I have just got to say this, I am so addicted to The Wild Ones series it just keeps getting better. This instalment was no different, I so didn't want it to end. I loved getting a bit more of Jenna as well, was such an added bonus. If you are a fan, like me, of M. Leighton you have got to deliciously delve into this one, I lapped it up in one sitting. Michelle's writing always grips you from the first page while captivating you with her unique and beautiful writing style, which makes you fall in love with each character. Jake and Laney's story is no different, I can't wait to read more of this series or, hell, anything that Michelle writes, just make it sooner rather than later!!
