Oh maaan, if ever I'm in a tight spot and need rescuing I want ex-soldier sexy Drex Wolfe to come get me!!  He is definitely the full package - ex-military, tough, strong, alpha male with brooding looks and as HOT AS HELL! *swoons & fans oneself* Did I mention he was a soldier?? *still fanning & swooning here*

A.M. Hargrove you've done it again! I was totally hooked from the beginning right until the very end. I shouted, I swooned, I laughed, swooned some more, I gasped in shock and yes, I swooned some more. I loved this book.

Tragic Desires took me on a tense action packed trip, dipping into the secretive world of the CIA, FBI & government officials where nothing is as it seems. I do love a good 'ole action scene, especially if it involves muscly soldiers!

Gemini Sheridan is a very strong and feisty young woman who has had a lot to deal with in her life. Her mother died in a road accident and a few year later she's involved in a biking accident resulting in a head injury that leaves her with debilitating migraines. The headaches are so severe it alters her moods and personality. Her boyfriend can't cope any more, she can't hold down a job as the headaches are worse through the day and this leads her to going back to her old home town seeking the only release she can get from her headaches...alcohol & drugs.

It's while she's in a bar scoring her latest hit that the sinfully sexy private investigator Drexel Wolfe, who is there on a covert mission, first sees her. After he rescues her from attempted abduction she becomes his mission, he vows to help save her from the assassins who are after her. Truths are about to be uncovered and their lives will never be the same again!

Drex is a strong alpha male, used to everyone following his orders and getting his own way all of the time...until he meets Gemini. When they are together there is a definite spark between them that grows until it explodes. (They definitely made my kindle heat up!) Even though Gemini has a lot to put up, her crippling migraines and the new knowledge her whole life has been a lie, she is still strong when she needs to be and is perfect in helping Drex come to terms with his past guilt.

I loved the chemistry and banter between those two.  They often clashed but oh, when they put their differences aside they heated up my kindle with their red-hot passion! They also made me laugh too. Gemini certainly knew how to put Dex in his place much to his annoyance and the scene involving Drex and anesthetic had me laughing out loud.

Tragic Desires had everything I love in a book - scenes that were hot enough to scorch my kindle, humour, tense, nail-biting action and believable characters. This is definitely one of those books I will read again.

About the Author 

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life.  So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase.  Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head.  Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window.  She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss and quit her job.  Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).

So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a YA/NA and Adult Romance writer.
