It's been a while since I read a Kitty French book, I know shame on me, but oh, it was like coming home.
I adore this book so much!! Once I started I couldn't put it down, I read it in a day.
Genie is full of what we expect from the pen of Kitty French. Comedy at its very best, sassy strong female lead, sexy, totally smokin HOT virile male lead, explosive HOT chemistry between the main characters, hot horny sex scenes that melt your kindle, drama and tension to tug at your heart strings and above all a wonderful love story at its heart to make you feel warm and fuzzy all over and want the exact same love that they have.
Abel has a dirty wicked mouth and is downright hot, what I wouldn't give to meet him!! He's determined not to let Genie's looks get to him. He wants the theatre and he's gonna get any way he can even if it means getting close to Genie to get it. Yes, he is an ass in the way he baits her and hurls insults at her but Genie plays him well, oh he's definitely met his match with her.
Genie is fiery and has a smart mouth and enough sass to match Abel in a showdown. She is determined to save the theatre from Abel's clutches and she'll do anything to stop him getting it even if it means using her feminine charms on him to get it.
But they don't plan on the raw, HOT, fiery passion that quickly flares up between them.
When they get together they are explosive as temperatures rise, cue some hot and horny scenes! I'll never look at a fondue set and chocolate in the same way again!
Reading Genie was like watching a feel good rom-com play out in front of me. I laughed at the way Genie & Abel sniped at each, trying to best each other in their fight to gain the upper hand. The insults they hurled at each and the heat and passion in the way it was delivered reminded me of the fabulous chemistry of David & Maddie from Moonlighting. Don't know who they are? Google it. I loved that couple and willed them to get together every week.

I can't recommend Genie highly enough. It's Kitty French!! Do I need to say more?
