Leaning against the cool wood of the hotel room door, she met his stare trying hard not to smile like an idiot. “This was fun.” Drew’s eyes flashed. “If you ask nicely, I’ll let you take me to bed.” She shook her head at his antics. “What if I’m not feeling especially nice?” Drew brushed his hand over her hip. “You’re right. You do feel naughty,” he agreed. Holding her stare, he bent closer, giving her time to protest his advance. The door opened at Aubree’s back. If she hadn’t hit the solid wall of Max’s chest, she might have ended up sprawled across the floor. Tilting back her head, she took note of the angry expression on Max’s face before switching her gaze back to Drew. His eyes danced with humor as he mouthed, “Denied,” and Aubree slapped her hand over her mouth to smother her giggles. “Have a nice night, Drew.” Drew ignored Max’s snarling words. “May I see you again?” “I’d like that,” she answered without hesitation. Max growled. At the sound, Drew flashed him a cocky grin before giving her a wicked version of it and turning away. As soon as he moved out of the doorway, Max slammed it closed, focusing his ire on her. She’d never seen him truly angry before now. She laughed nervously. “Are you drunk?” “No,” she answered, incredulous. “I’ve had two glasses of champagne all night.” “Your face is flushed.” Aubree shrugged. “I’m happy. I had a good time.” Max prowled toward her. The hard set of his jaw caused a flutter of desire to run through her. “Did you forget who you came here with?” Unable to think of a single retort, she shrugged again. “I’m young and single. Why shouldn’t I enjoy myself?” Max’s eyes flashed dangerously. His tone had a bite to it when he spoke. “You are not single.”

Andrea's Review
*ARC received in return for an honest review

Unsurpassed is a hot read with m/f/m and m/m steamy scenes thrown into the mix.

Wow, from the first page you can feel the heat and it just gets hotter the more you read! A hot start to, which promises to be, a scorching series.

Aubree Holiday has lusted after her two hot and hunky (and ripped) friends, Max and Ryan, ever since she began training with them at kick boxing and can't believe her luck when they invite her to go with them for the weekend to a party hosted by a famous MMA champion, Drew Alexander.

At the party the first night she meets the enigmatic Drew and while he shows a definite attraction for her, (practically undressing her where she stands) Aubree is under no illusions that she will probably be a distant memory for him the next day, she's met his type before.

After sharing a wild, no-holds barred passionate night, and morning, with Max and Ryan, Drew turns up inviting her to lunch the next day. At Max and Ryan's insistence, Aubree agrees to go and realises that she genuinely likes him and begins to see the real Drew hidden beneath the face he puts on for the public. He makes her laugh, she's never felt like that in a long time, not since before her parents died suddenly, and she likes how he makes her feel.

Aubree is torn between her feelings for the men. She had an amazing time with Max and Ryan and hopes they will repeat it again soon but she feels guilty because what she feels for Drew is totally different. How can she choose between them?

However, Aubree soon discovers Max and Ryan had an ulterior motive for inviting her to the party. Feeling angry and used, she runs straight into the open arms of Drew.

Drew is definitely one smokin'-hot, sexy-as-hell alpha male who goes after what, and who, he wants and doesn't give up, oh and he doesn't share!! He pulls out all the stops in his pursuit of Aubree. I loved the hot, passionate chemistry between the couple, just one look was from Drew was enough to melt Aubree's panties right off her! Phew, I had to stop reading a few times to fan myself. While Drew is a force to be reckoned with (I certainly wouldn't want to cross him!) he does have his softer side and certainly shows it with Aubree, he made my heart melt. I loved the way he would go all alpha-male to protect Aubree from getting hurt.

"You can keep fighting and I will keep chasing you, but in the end, the result will be the same. It will be my name you're moaning." ~ Drew

Although I really did like Max and Ryan, I mean what's not to like about two very fit, sexy ex-Marines? I totally lusted after Drew! I think it was his shaved head that did it for me! *stops to wipe drool from chin*

Max is the dark and broody type and rarely smiles, however when he does it lights up his whole face. He tends to take things too seriously and once he's set on something he becomes focused until he achieves the result he wants, to the point where it threatens to destroy his friendship with Aubree and Ryan.

Ryan is the complete opposite, being of a much more sweeter nature. Covered in tattoos, Ryan has an irresistible smile that melts Aubree on the spot. Being a very tactile person he is always finding a reason to touch Aubree, whether it's to brush a lock of hair off her face or putting his arm around her in a hug.

Max and Ryan both know what they did to Aubree, deceiving her the way they did, was wrong and try to put things right but is it too late? I did feel sorry for them at times but at one point I wanted to shake Max and tell him to get a grip! I would've loved there to have been a bit more of Max and Ryan as I felt they kind of got over looked a bit. I can't really say anymore without spoilers.

Unsurpassed is very well-written and, for a novella, it is packed full of gripping drama, tense emotion and enough hot, steamy passionate scenes to melt your kindle!! Oh, and I loved the little twist in the story.

This is the first book I've read from Charity Parkerson and I can tell you it definitely won't be the last!

    2. This whole series almost made me insane. Book 3 releases July 2nd, one of the main characters, Asher, makes me want to rip him off the pages. Fight clubs are candy shops for grownups :-)
