Title: Butterfly Kisses
Series: The Colwich Lake series #3
Author: H.A. Robinson
Designed By: Shower Of Schmidt Designs
Release Date: July 31, 2020

Synopsis

At eighteen years old, Beatrix Oliver has had to learn many painful truths.

Happiness can be ripped away in a single heartbeat, leaving cold, lonely emptiness behind.

Even the fiercest, most agonising love can’t keep people with you if they decide not to stay.
And not even the butterfly kisses she was always told could heal anything can take away the pain of being left behind.

Starting at university is the chance she’s craved to break away from the town where she’s been an object of pity for so long. Moving to Manchester is about fun, friendship and learning. She has no intention of falling in love. In fact, nothing could be further from her mind. Love has only ever meant loss before, so why should now be any different?

And then an unexpected face from the past turns up, blurring the black and white lines she’s always drawn for herself into confusing shades of grey, and she’s forced to face up to the fact that you don’t always get a choice when it comes to giving your heart away.

My Review
*ARC received in return for an honest review

OMG, this book has all the feels!! I have been on such an emotional roller coaster and I don't know when I'll recover.

H.A. Robinsonhas surpassed herself with this one. I absolutely love the Colwich Lake series (The Pebble Jar broke me ๐Ÿ˜ญ) however, Butterfly Kisses has to be my favourite of the series.

Two broken and scarred souls.

One who feels they don’t deserve to be loved and one who’s afraid to love for fear of eventually being left alone, come together after meeting up unexpectedly.

Can they help to heal each other? Or are their scars too deep to heal? Only time will tell.

Where do I start without giving anything away? My emotions are all over the place, I just want to wrap my arms around the book and never let it go.

I have fallen in love with Trix and her man, they are my favourite characters of the whole series. They have barged their way into my heart and are there to stay.

The struggles and turmoil they battled were so emotional and gut-wrenching that my heart broke into little pieces for them but put it was back together again, eventually.

I'm not going to say who Trix falls for, that's for you to find out but I will say...hands off, he's mine!

I am a huge fan of H.A. Robinson's. I love her wonderfully descriptive way with words.

Words which are raw and real, filled with so much emotion that tug on your heart strings and very believable. Words that pull you in from the first page, making you feel like you’re actually there looking on from the sidelines, eavesdropping on the lives of the rich and colourful characters she creates and watching their story enfold. You get this, and so much more, with Butterfly Kisses

Although this could probably be read as a stand-alone I strongly recommend reading the previous books in the series first to avoid possible spoilers. It will allow you to fully understand the back history and make for a better reading experience.

I can't recommend Butterfly Kisses highly enough. It made me laugh and made me cry, it broke my heart but put it back together again. My heart is so heavy right now as I’m not ready to leave
