My Review
*ARC received in return for an honest review

I am totally enjoying this series, it just gets better with each book and Bagging Alice has to be my favourite so far.

I love Laura Barnard's sense of humour that is present throughout all of her books that I've read so far. Bagging Alice had me laughing out loud most of the time but it also had me shouting out and shaking my head when it looked like Alice was going to do something she'd regret. Right from the beginning I was rooting for her, she was going through a really tough time thanks to her ex-boyfriend (I could've cheerfully punched him!) who had posted intimate pictures of her on the internet.

Although she came across as feisty and strong Alice was also quite vulnerable and insecure  especially where her no-good family was concerned. Her brother was another who I could've cheerfully punched too!

I have to admit that I never thought Tom was boyfriend material for anyone, never mind for Alice, but he was perfect for her. They had a great chemistry together and I loved the witty banter that flowed between them. I also loved the way Tom stood up for Alice when he eventually got his act together.

The scene stealer and star of the show, for me though, had to be Pickles the puppy. Omigod, at times I couldn't breathe for laughing over her antics. Some of the training scenes reminded me of trying to train my own dog and the way Tom and Alice bickered and argued over Pickles were hilarious!

Bagging Alice is a quick read and the perfect 'anytime' read, whether it be your holiday read lying by the pool or curled up on the sofa on a rainy day.

I can highly recommend this book but I would suggest reading the other two books in the series first to get a better understanding of the backstory of the characters and to avoid possible spoilers.
