Deidre's Death
Two women caught in a struggle between Death and the Dark One …
Gabriel – Death – is winning the ground war against demons in the mortal realm. But a rebellion is brewing among his army of grim reapers in the underworld he still can’t access. Worse, just when he thinks he knows where his heart belongs, he discovers there are two Deidre's: the human he started to fall in love with and the deity whose love-hate relationship with him spanned hundreds of thousands of years. What he doesn’t know: the two Deidre's made a deal that will send one of their souls to the underworld by the end of the week.
Deity-Deidre expects nothing but smooth sailing in her future. Until the Dark One strips her powers on her way out of Hell, leaving her a vulnerable human, reeling under the influence of human emotions, which deities do not possess. The deal she made with human-Deidre suddenly seems impossible to win. For the first time in her existence, she understands what Gabriel felt at her mercy for the eons they were together. She doesn’t know how to win the trust of the man she’s always loved – or even if she can.

Firstly I can honestly say Lizzy Ford has become one of my favourite writers!! Since being recommended to read The Rhyn Trilogy from a friend, from the first page of Katie's Hellion I felt like a portal had opened up and I'd been sucked through to the underworld, and I have been stuck there ever since!! (not that I am complaining) WARNING!! lots of Demon eye candy down here *winks*
I would personally start your journey with Rhyn Trilogy to get to know these amazing characters and the journey Lizzy takes you through up to Deidre's Death. Lizzy's style of writing is truly amazing and she is the Queen of twists and turns, while leaving you practically hanging over the edge with her cliff-hanger endings (I have the scratch marks on the edge of my sofa to prove this ).
Deidre's Death yet again, did not disappoint. Apart from my lusting after delicious demon Rhyn, I always had my other eye on Gabriel (now who could not notice a man in black with a dangerous weapon?).... well definitely not me!!
After reading this next instalment I now find myself liking Past-Deidre, who was like the Bitch from Hell in the previous book and I was so geared up to shout in human Deidre's corner!! How wrong could I be? Unexpected twist...I should have known!! Oh, and also the turn of events that now sets my sights on a new damn hot demon Darkyn, how did he become all dark, sexy and mysterious.
Again I was left with fresh scratch marks on my sofa waiting for the next instalment to this epic journey that has now left me in the darkness of the underworld waiting for more from the awesome author that is Lizzy Ford

Darkyn's Mate
Caught between Fate and the Dark One ...
Stuck in Hell, human-Deidre struggles to hold onto her hope that she can change the course of events that landed her as the mate of Darkyn, the Dark One. The chances of her leaving Hell plummet when the Dark One takes a drastic step to ensure he never loses his latest possession and blood binds her in an ancient rite from the time-before-time. In doing so, he is forced to share his power with her. Rather than despair, she begins to see that she has unexpectedly found her place in the world: protecting innocent souls from the bloodlust of the demon she's forever bound to.
Rather than accept her place at his side docilely, she begins to use her newfound influence to help those she cares about, including Gabriel, the former lover she's not yet ready to let go of, even knowing she'll never leave Hell.

After just finishing Deidre's Death I am left hanging over the edge of the underworld in the darkness and had to dive straight into Darkyn's Mate to find out more about this new sexy side of Darkyn (oh, and the 2 Deidre's of course) *cough cough*
This novella tells us about human Deidre's time in hell, when she makes a deal with Past-Deidre which lands her not only being Darkyn's mate, but also being blood-bonded to him also (lucky lady). Now I am a sucker for a bad boy, and with lines like "touch me, taste me, scratch me, bite me", I suddenly felt the urge to want to become a sex demon!! (chance would be a fine thing). Lizzy's style of writing pulls you into this amazing magical underworld with characters that leave you still thinking about them for days after, unexpected twist and turns while leaving you on a cliff-hanger for the next instalment.
Yet again another awesome story from the brilliant Lizzy ford, I just can't seem to get enough of these delicious demons. Its going to be a long dark wait in the underworld waiting for the next instalment, but with demons like Gabriel, Rhyn & the new sexy demon on the block, Darkyn I am sure it will be as hot as hell down here!!
Thank you so much, Simone! I'm so happy Andrea referred my books to you, and I love your reviews!
