Simone's Review

*ARC received in return for an honest review

Before I start my review this is the second instalment in The World Without End series so, if you have not read World Without Future go get yourself a copy and read that first....

If you are still reading I presume you have read it and, like me, you are a bit of a zombie fan. I will watch anything with these flesh eating, undead monsters from films to The Walking Dead TV show, so this series was a must read for me from the start. After finishing book one I have been so excited to get my hands on the second instalment so I delved straight in and read it almost in one sitting.

Let's get you up to speed......

By the end of book one we see Nurrin and Finn set off to find an antidote for Nurrin's boyfriend, Dustin, who has unfortunately been bitten but on their return they are shocked to find that both her brother Collin, and Dustin, are gone. Nurrin knows she has to stay with Finn if she wants to see Collin and Dustin again, Finn knows he has to find Collin and keep Nurrin safe and also try to keep his feeling and urges for her under wraps but this seems to becoming harder and harder for Finn.

Let me just tell you if there was ever a Zombie Apocalypse I will be jumping into to Finn O'Malley's wheels, and anything else I can manage. If there was a medal for Mean, Moody, Hot, Over Protective Alpha Male who will have you swooning over his kick ass moves when slaying zombies, Finn wins it hands down.  His sex appeal just oozes off the page, his raw and rough moves on Nurrin will have you blushing while his protective, jealous side will have you swooning.

Nurrin really does come into her own, she knows just how to handle Finn when he blows hot and cold, she gives as good as she gets. She's Feisty, Sexy and Kick Ass which is one of the things that attracts Finn to Nurrin and her strength to find her brother makes them the ultimate zombie killing duo. Nurrin also finds out more about Finn's past, which helps her understand the way he is with her and everyone around him. (It really did make me love him that bit more, If that is even  possible).

As Nurrin and Finn carry on with their journey to find Dustin and Collin we meet a few more interesting characters, some likable and some that will make you shudder more than the flesh eating zombies that lurk in the darkness, but a great addition to the series.

Nazarea Andrew's writing style grips you like pressing the play button on a remote control, the characters come to life and jump off the page like a 3D movie. You are wanting to desperately fast forward as you're desperate to find out how it all ends but, at the same time want to pause, rewind and slow motion because you are just enjoying it too freaking much. This story has you reeling over all the twists and turns, the lies, the past and, just when you think there's light at the end of the tunnel for Nurrin And Finn, I'm left with my hand over my mouth, eyes wide and having heart palpitations at the FLESH EATING CLIFFHANGER!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!! I need book 3 NOW!! I now think I know how it feels to be bitten and just left there waiting to change (I know, extreme, but that's how I feel).

I can't highly recommend this story enough to anyone who wants a nail biting zombie fest with an addictive story line and well developed characters.
