Now when it comes to Alice Clayton and her books I am such a fan girl, I love her style of writing which is in a league of its own!! So getting a chance to read an ARC of the third instalment of Grace & Jack I was all kinds of CRAZY Excited to spend the next couple of hours with my favourite Brit boy and my red head girl with the sparkly boobies!!
Grace and Jack are my favourite comedy, romantic couple. The sexy banter between them is saucy, steamy and damn sexy but at the same time they have you bursting into a fit of giggles with their quick witted pillow talk between the sheets.
So we start off with Grace and Jack still trying to keep their relationship under wraps from the social media who are hungry for their sexy scientist movie star Jack, and don't want just a piece of him they want all of him and will do whatever it takes to get that shot or that story!! Grace feels that her Brit boy is still young and needs to let his hair down, so she's supporting him to go out and promote himself and his career. Grace's career is also just starting to take off with the first episode of her series being a instant overnight hit. Are they strong enough to cope with this fame and celebrity life style that they are both thrown into, or will cracks starts to appear along the way??
In this last instalment we get to see Jack in his most insecure and vulnerable state. He really does not handle all the fame and attention that is being thrown in his direction as well as everyone thinks. My heart broke for Jake at times, while I found myself calling him an AssHead for not seeing through a certain person!! (mentioning no names).
The book is titled The Redhead Plays Her Hand. And boy oh boy Grace really does play her hand. She puts her Crazy Girl head on, arms herself with her sparkly Boobies to go bring her Brit Boy Back!! This is when her age comes in handy, having to be the more mature one to see through the smoke screen of glitz and glamour and get rid of a few snakes that lurk in-between. Even though this book is a bit more serious than the other two it sure doesn't lack humour, but in this one I shed a few heart-breaking tears for my comedy duo along the way.
"I'm so in love with you, Grace." He looked down at me, my sweet, broken, wonderful boy. "and I'm dying to kiss you."
I raised up on my tippy toes as he leaned down. "I'm kinda dying for you to kiss me."
I can't think of a better ending to this brilliant comedy romance but will miss my Brit Boy and Crazy Redhead! Hoping maybe, they may pop up somewhere in Alice Clayton's future novels PLLLLEEEAAASSSEEE!!
