Simone's Review
*ARC received in return for an honest review

I cannot tell you just how emotional and excited I was when we were given the opportunity to NOT ONLY be on the blog tour for Sylvain Reynard (which, in it's self made me run around the room like a loon waving my hands in the air) but to get the last instalment of Gabriel and Julianne's love story really did push me over the edge!! (in a good way I might add).

Now I know I am not the only one who has been waiting anxiously for this most anticipated read of the year, but Gabriel has always been right up there on my list. He is, and will always be, my ultimate of all BBF's and his and Julianne's love story I hold close to my heart. So when I was given the chance of reading an ARC of Gabriel's Redemption  I off loaded all my daily chores, got my pjs on and, coffee in one hand, kindle in the other snuggled in my comfy chair and delved straight in to my professor - feeling excited but at the same time, saddened that this is the final chapter in the series!! *sobs*

So back to my review: The story starts with Gabriel and Julianne as newly weds starting a new and exciting life together, so there is lots of romance and steamy hot sex but!! Yes you hear me there is a big BUT that this honeymoon period is not going to be all roses and great sex. As much as I adore Gabriel's Alpha male side I find myself feeling frustrated in the way he always blocks Julianne out and tries to "mind fuck" her!! (Julianne's words not mine). But as I kept with him he really has come so far from the man he was in book one to the strong, loving and caring husband he was always meant to be. The way he fought he his own demons of his past, to pull him self to be happy and loved by Julianne in their now future. (I feel myself swooning again as I am writing this). He was really ready for redemption in this book and I love and admire his character even more to see what he went through to show his love for her.

Julianne is one of my favourite leading ladies, she also came into her own. The transformation from when they first met, Julianne being this timid little mouse that wouldn't say" boo" to a goose, to now being a strong woman who will do anything to fight for her career, family and the man she loves. Julianne always shows Gabriel what a good man his is through her kind heart and undying love for him. She never gives up, they are so strong together that no outsider could ever break the bond they share.

"You're my last, Gabriel. My only."

I really do not want to share any spoilers or tell you what happens in this book as I feel, as a reviewer, that it spoils the enjoyment and the experience for other readers, so I'm sharing my feelings on the characters and how I have grown to love them through this sexy, hot, messed up journey.

Sylvain Reynard has a beautiful, poetic style of writing that captivates you from the very first page and makes you connect and fall in love with characters that will stay with you forever. Even though it saddens me that this is the end of the series I live in hope of a small novella, to keep my withdrawals from the professor, in the future maybe........

Author Bio

I'm interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition - particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.

I'm also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.

I try to use my platform as an author to raise awareness about the following charities: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, WorldVision, Alex's Lemonade Stand, and Covenant House. For more information, see my Twitter account.
