I'm a sex addict and a virgin.
I know everything about sex and I've never done it, though I came close last night.
Now with an opening line like that, this story intrigued me and pulled me in from the first page, a story about two perfectly damaged people who are struggling to overcome their own addictions from their very sad and troubled pasts.
Now we are first introduced to Harley, who you quickly learn has an alta ego called Layla, who is a, wait for it......a call girl who is a virgin!! Confused? Yep, I was!! Harley has had a very exposed and dysfunctional upbringing , which has left her addicted to sex and love but in Harley's eyes it all just a game, RIGHT??
It's hard to stay away from the fix. Because the fix feels good. The fix takes away the pain. The fix mends the hole in the heart.
Harley doesn't know that 1 tattoo and 1 night with a tattooist will change her life for ever! In walks the ever so sexy, tattooed Trey!! This is when desire and need ignite within Harley, and she runs with these feelings as she thinks to herself this is just one night, hell she's not going to ever see this man again!! How wrong could she be......

Ohhhh my then there's Trey!! Sorry while I take a minute to sigh, swoon and fan myself.......Trey is fighting his own demons and addictions, but in different ways and, for different reasons. Trey’s upbringing and experiences have brought him to the same path that Harley is on, and their end goals are the same, which is to fight and overcome their addictions. This is then the challenge for both Trey and Harley. Can they overcome, accept and let go of the past and the pain, find the strength on their own? Or will they rely on each other for the strength they need to keep themselves in recovery, while trying to fight for their true feeling for each other?!!

Now there was another character I had a soft spot for, I loved him!! But I can see he may be a bit like marmite to some readers, you will have to make your own mind up!! Cam, who was Harley's, or should I say Layla's pimp?, he has a big demanding presence, but underneath he is caring and soft. Even though his path for Layla is not the direction you want her character to go in, you cannot help thinking in his eyes he really cares and wants the best for her, however dysfunctional it seems. I sure hope we see more of Cam in the sequel!! PLLEEAASSSEE!!!
There are so many favourite quotes in this book, that made me sigh, swoon and ugly cry, I cannot list them all or I will just have to copy the whole book on my review! Here are just 2 that I read and had to stop reading to compose myself and reach for my tissue!!

Can I say this book absolutely consumed and captivated me from the very first page, I found myself with my kindle in my hand reading while I was cooking, washing and cleaning!! Lauren Blakely's style of writing flows so beautifully, and her word choices so perfect. The story of Harley and Trey is going to stay with me forever. This is the first book I have read of Lauren's it will definitely wont be the last!! Thanks Lauren Blakely I now have an addiction to your books, but I refuse to go to any help group to give it up!!
